On the spur of the moment, my hubby and I decided to take a quick rv trip to see Great Basin National Park in Nevada. We stayed in the Baker Creek campground in the park overnight and in the morning we took the drive up to view Wheeler Peak. We were at an elevation of 10,000 feet when I snapped these pics. Not being used to this high altitude, we chose not to attempt a long hike further up to see the bristlecone pines (the oldest trees on Earth).. disappointing as we would have loved to have seen them up close, however, it was hard enough breathing right here!!
