CRICUT CARDZ CHALLENGE #52
Cricut Cardz Challenge #52 is to make a Christmas theme card using 'just words' from your Cricut, no image; any colors and cartridge. I decided it would be fun to create a card that looked like a tag and so I used my Gypsy and Very Merry Tags cartridge; welded two tags together to form a standard A2 card and also cut one tag 1/4 inch smaller as a mat. The wording 'Ho Ho Ho' is also from the same cartridge. Supplies used: Cricut Expression, Gypsy, solid cs from stash, dp from K and Co Seasonal Paper, rhinestones, ribbon and twine from stash, brad from Basic Grey, Signo white gel pen for 'stitching'. Come join the talented ladies on the DT for this fun challenge....and just think...you'll have one less Christmas card to make this year if you do!!

PAPER CUTZ CHALLENGE #68
For this week's Paper Cutz Challenge we are to make a card, layout or craft project for Christmas using LOTS of bling and any colors you'd like. I wanted to use the quilled pointsettia that I made and started out with the intention of making a card; however, I decided it would look really nice as a Christmas decoration. You can see it hanging on the desk lamp (hand-crafted from diamond willow by my very talented neighbor, Jim!) in my craft room. The supplies I used were:
Sizzix Big Kick and Nestabilities Labels Seventeen
Cardstock: white from stash and DCWV the glitter cardstock
matstack
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Marshmallow
Rhinestones, cord and stamped sentiment from stash
Tiny flower created with Shrink Plastic, small flower punches,
Sharpie marker and tiny brad
Ink: Dew Drop Brilliance Galaxy Gold and Memento Tuxedo Black
dye ink
Pop dots and Scor-tape
Come join the PCC DT ladies for this week's fun challenge (and get a head start on a Christmas project) by clicking here. We would love to see your creations!!

PAPER CUTZ CHALLENGE #67
The challenge this week at PCC is to make a card, layout or craft project for Thanksgiving using buttons and bows and any colors you'd like. I love pop-up cards and so this was the perfect time to use my new Sizzix tree 3-D die that I just ordered. The dp is from K&Co (Classic K McKenna) stack; cardstock, ribbon and vintage buttons are from my stash; baker's twine is from MS and the sentiment stamp and scallop punch are from Fiskars. The card is 6"x6" and I will make an envelope for it with my MS scoreboard. I'm looking forward to seeing what my fellow DT ladies have created for this challenge and invite you and your friends to join us this week and show us your Thanksgiving project by clicking here.

CRICUT CARDZ CHALLENGE #50
The Cricut Cardz Challenge this week is to make a card for Christmas using the "card feature" from any cartridge you'd like and using any colors you'd like. I wanted to make an almost entirely 'White Christmas' card using white cs from my stash. Since the challenge this week is to use the card feature, I decided to use A Child's Year (which has lots of different cards to choose from). I liked the shape of this one (which is on Page 54 in the handbook...I used my Gypsy to hide the cuts along the fold since I didn't want them for this card). I ran the front of the card through my Cuttlebug with the Large Snowflake embossing folder; used my new MS PATP French Scroll punches to create a square medallion...love this set!!!; cut two snowflakes from ACY, Page 55, ran one through my Zyron and sprinkled it with Ranger Holgraphic embossing powder, attached them together with SU Dimensionals, punched a small hole in the center of the snowflakes and medallion and used a small white brad to attach them together. Before adhering this to the front of the card, I cut a piece of white ribbon and attached that first, placed the medallion with snowflakes on top and added a piece of blue and white twine for a tiny drop of color. For a little bit more dimension on the snowflake, I added a drop of Ranger Stickles in Frosted Lace to each small cutout. I'd love to hear what you think of my card and can't wait to see what you create...so come join all the DT ladies and invite your friend's for this fun Christmas card challenge by clicking here. It's a great way to get an early start on your Christmas cards if you haven't already!!

LET IT SNOW
My very first PTI order arrived yesterday and, of course, I just had to play with it over the weekend. I found this challenge at Card Patterns : Sketch 89 and decided it would be perfect for the cute little snowman stamp, snowflake stamp and sentiment (which I really like since we moved from a cold winter climate...I enjoy seeing that 'white stuff' on top of the mountains in the distance and not in my yard!). I used the following supplies for this card:
Design Paper from K&Company Seasonal Paper, Bazzill white cs, 1 3/4" round die and stamps from PTI using Memento dye ink, rosette using Tim Holtz die and crepe paper sprayed with Glimmer Mist, Stickles, MS twine, clear buttons Hero Arts, SU Green Galore dye ink, ribbon from stash, mini tag punch from SU, Cuttlebug and Sizzix snowball embossing folder, EK Success 1 1/8" round punch, Scor-tape, glue dots
WITH LOVE AT CHRISTMAS
When checking to see what new crafting magazines were out in Barnes & Noble, I came across the Christmas 2010 Crafter's Companion Make Christmas Cards issue. Now, I don't own a Crafter's Companion (I know, it's a shock to anyone that knows how many gadgets I do have!!!) but it didn't stop me from buying this issue. Included with the magazine was a stack of paper, small embossing board and a cute set of Popcorn the Bear stamps along with lots of fun project ideas and directions....how could I not buy this??? I fell in love with this little Souffle stamp and had to make a card with it along with one of the sentiment stamps. I came across two challenges that inspired me with my color choice and use of scallops. They are: Just Cute Bears & Friends #39 - Black, White Plus 1 Other Colour and Paper Issues Challenge - Peer Pressure Challenge: Scallops.
Other Supplies Used:
White and Black cs, Yellow dp from stash, Cuttlebug and three embossing folders, Nestabilities Eyelet Circles, Copic markers, rhinestones, Shabby Wrinkled Ribbon, Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink, SU dimensionals

ScrapFest Cropper Fhiona For Paper Issues Challenge
I purchased this stamp recently and couldn't wait to play with it. I haven't been coloring for very long (or very often) but I wanted to give it a try using my small collection of Copic markers. This stamp is called ScrapFest Cropper Fhiona and is from YNS (is she cute or what?). I used my Eyelet Circles Nestabilites to just emboss around the image rather than cutting it out. After coloring her, I added some Stickles and rhinestones (that I colored with my Copics to match). I also inked the edges of a Prima flower with a Copic marker and added that with a small piece of ribbon. I'm entering this card in the Paper Issues Challenge Peer Pressure Challenge: Scallops. Would love to hear what you think!

MY BLOG'S GOT AN 'ATTITUDE'...AWARD!!!
I got this AWARD from Jen...so, thank you so much Jen for thinking of me for this fun award. Please go visit her blog to see her great creations at http://jennyscards.blogspot.com/ and tell her I sent you!
To accept this award and be eligible for the $5 free digi certificate I have to list 3 things that make me/my blog different, and to pass it on to 5 additional bloggers. So here goes:
1. I enjoy, and appreciate, having others visit my blog. When I started it last year I had no idea that anyone would find it (let alone come and leave such nice comments) and it means a great deal to me that there are so many busy ladies who take the time to stop by!! Thank you for doing so!!!!
2. I sometimes use so many different types of adhesives on one project that I wonder if it is really necessary to do so! (Or do I do it because I own so many...hmmmmm?!)
3. I don't have one particular 'style' (and I love to try out new techniques and return to some old favorites...just depends on what mood I am in when I sit down to create) so those who come by will see a wide variety of projects and products.
So now, ladies, to qualify for the $5 Digis with Attitude store gift certificate, you must: list 3 things that make you/your blog different, pass this award on to 5 others, display the badge/award on your sidebar linking to the Digis with Attitude Challenge Blog, and please read the Digi's with Attitude guidelines: http://digiswithattitudechallenges.blogspot.com/p/i-got-attitude-blog-award.html. nominate FIVE people (that I think have ATTITUDE) to get this award, and if they follow through with the "rules", they receive a $5 gift certificate from Digi's with Attitude!
The hardest part now is to choose 5 people that I think have ATTITUDE...and I've chosen the following five sweet ladies because I think they have great Attitudes:
Mary http://cardztv.blogspot.com/
Lynn http://www.millers-ink.net/
Jeri http://bugnme.blogspot.com/
Linda http://ladybuglair.blogspot.com/
True http://truesgiftsfromtheheart.blogspot.com/
Thank you again Jen and thanks to all who visit my blog!!!

GINGERBREAD MINI CRICUT CART
Just wanted to share a few of the fun cuts on this new Gingerbread Mini Cricut cart that I just got (there are only 25 total and I can't wait to cut out the rest). I cut them all at 3 1/4". The best advice I can give is to leave the layers on your Cricut mat and take them off one at a time with a tweezer before attaching to the solid layer (the parts are tiny when cut at this size!!) These can be used as gift tags, Christmas ornaments, banners, added to the front of cards, etc, etc!. I may bling them up a bit (although I like them just as they are). I'm sure you'll be seeing these on future projects :o) !!!

VERY THANKFUL CARD
Last month, Linda at LadybugLair.blogspot.com, had a Martha Stewart PATP set giveaway and I was one of the ten lucky winners!! I just received my punch set in the mail and had to make a card using them. I have to say that this Swirling Lace Set is now one of my favorites (so expect to be seeing it often)!!! The secret to using these sets is to follow the size sheet that comes with each one, so I used a 5" x 3 1/4" piece of dp to punch. It is layered onto a 5 1/4" x 4" layer that I ran through my Cuttlebug with the Tartan embossing folder. The leaves are from a small Sizzix die that I have had for years. I cut them from white cs; from the acrylic packaging from a stamp set and white packaging foam (to create a stamp). I stamped the white cs leaves using my 'stamp' and Ranger Distress Inks (Forest Moss and Rusty Hinge) and drew the 'veins' with Zig pens. I then used Adirondack alcohol inks (Lettuce and Sandal) on the 'acrylic leaves'. They were adhered on top of the cs leaves with Suze Weinberg's Suze Gluez. Before adhering the punched layer, I wrapped it with MS brown twine and stamped the sentiment (Ultimate Sentiments I set from Samantha at SP&Company) with Memento Rich Cocoa dye ink. The leaves were attached with SU dimensionals. Thanks again to Linda and Martha Stewart Crafts for the great PATP prize!!!! Be sure to check out all the stamp sets Samantha has, too!
PAPER CUTZ CHALLENGE #66
For this week's challenge at PCC Mary would like us to make a Get Well card, layout or craft project using a hand stamped, digital stamped or Cricut cut image of something that flies and you can use whatever colors you'd like. I decided to pull out a very old stamp set I've had from Posh Impressions (who remembers watching Dee Gruenig on the Carol Duvall Show where she'd demo her line of stamps?) What I like about this line of stamps is that they are meant to be stamped 'off set'...no having to perfectly line them up...yeah!!! I chose Dee's Duets Bumble Bee set. The yellow ink is from studio g (thanks Jen!) and Memento Tuxedo Black. After stamping I ran the bee through my Sizzix Big Kick with my Nesties Blossom die and used the next size die with a piece of plain black cs. The other supplies used were: dp from K&Co Citronella stack; Corner Chomper; SU dimensionals; Pebbles Inc i kan dee chalk; Stickles in Yellow and Black Diamond (for the bee's eye); rick rack ribbon from my stash; sentiment printed on computer and MS punch. Come play along this week at PCC by clicking here.
