Wedding Card

This is the wedding card I made for my youngest son and future dil's wedding coming up in October. Cardstock is Best Occasions; K&Co Citronella; Ranger Stickles; EK Success scalloped scallop edger punch (a new favorite!); Darice rhinestones; popdots and ribbon from stash. I used my CDS and Cricut cart CU for the cake and hearts. I cut them three times and layered them together; added stickles and rhinestone; placed on card with popdots.

Gift Card Bag For Shower Card

I made this gift bag to hold a gift card for my future dil's shower on Sunday (the card was posted previously). I used my CDS, Cricut baby bug and the TBBM cart to cut out the bag. I used the same paper and ribbon as I did for the card along with my new EK Success edger punch and MS butterfly punch with some Ranger Stickles.

Paper Cutz Challenge #6

This week's challenge is to design a card, layout or craft project for a baby boy or girl, using the colors green, yellow and orange...no pink or blue! I've designed a 6x6 card that can be used for a girl. I used cardstock from Costco & Best Occasions, K&Co WB Gypsy Baby Paper Pad for the background layer; CDS and Cricut cart NA for the onesie, flower and frog; distressed edges with ink from stash; popdots; ribbon from American Crafts Elements; EK Success scalloped scallop edger punch & Darice rhinestones. This was a really fun challenge...I'll probably make more of these to use for both cards and scrapbook layouts!

Birthday Card For My Sister

After spending a couple of hours painting my laundry room I decided I needed a creative break so I made a card for my sister (her birthday is coming up next month). I used cardstock from DCWV, Special Occasions and Costco; Ranger Distress Stickles in Broken China; ribbon from Michaels; pop dots; edger punch from EK Success; Spellbinders Shapeabilities Butterflies and Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circles Large 2 smallest sizes. I was inspired by the latest PCC#5 to create a card, LO or project with something that flies. I borrowed my dd's Sizzix Big Kick so I could try out my very first Spellbinders (picked them up in Hobby Lobby while on a cross country trip back East.. my dh took a nap in the Roadtrek while I shopped :-) got to love that RV!)

Paper Cutz Challenge #5

The challenge is to design a card, LO or craft project with something that flies. The first thing that came to mind was an airplane since I'll be traveling on one soon. I decided to make a layout using the Cricut cart New Arrival for the airplane, clouds and label (love the cute whimsical cuts on this cart); the font is from the Cricut cart Disney's Pooh Font; paper is from Costco; glitter; popdots; dye ink and faux stitching using a sewing needle and Inkssentials white opaque pen. The picture is one I took at an overlook on a recent trip with my dh to Yosemite National Park in California.

Paper Cutz Challenge #4

Hi! This is what I came up with for the Challenge to not use black or orange for a Halloween card. Paper is from DCWV, Rebecca Sower & Costco; Martha Stewart Ribbon; CK Fun Boxes font; spider using Cricut SYI cart & a dab of Distress Stickles and silver Sharpie; bag using Cricut NA cart; Anita's art Stamps Russet dye ink pad to distress the paper edges & pop dots. It was fun trying to make a Halloween card without the usual orange and black and very challenging since 99% of my supplies are in my other house (approx. 2400 miles away). Hope you enjoy!

Road Trip For Diamonds

A much needed break from home redo projects was necessary, so on Monday my DH and I headed to Herkimer, NY to go rockhounding. We made a couple stops along the way and then settled in overnight at the KOA across the street from the Herkimer Diamond Mine. Tuesday was a sunny, hot and humid day but was great for breaking open tons of rocks (well, it felt like tons) hoping to find some Herkimer diamonds (really a unique type of quartz crystal). After hours of hard work, we did manage to find a number of very small 'diamonds'...not the biggies shown on the Cash for Treasure tv show. We did have a great time, but now it's back to work on the house (with, hopefully, time to create).

Kids Have Flown The Coop, Now It's Our Turn

I'm working on birthday cards for friends and relatives using my Baby Bug (my E is in my other house out West with 20 or so carts along with my entire craft room and I sure miss all my stuff...it will be so nice when we are done getting this house ready so we can put it on the market...even though it's probably not the best time to try and sell).

A Wedding Card

The wedding was held on the beach at sunset in Clearwater Beach, Florida and was fantastic. Here is the card I made for the newlyweds using my Cricut machine. I cut two layers for the 'crab couple' then embossed the top layer for some some glitz (along with some bling on her finger). I'm not going to show the inside because it's personalized, but I can tell you that there is a smaller version of the couple sitting under an umbrella on a beach chair personalized with Mr. & Mrs. ....really cute and they loved it!

Another fabulous piece of handmade jewelry

This piece of jewelry is a fabulous pin. The artist hand cuts, shapes and solders each piece and then sets the gemstones..it is one of my favorite pieces.

Hi Everybody!

To any and all who visit my blog, thank you! I hope you are willing to give tips to help me design a great site. Your assistance is much appreciated!
